ROCKY MOUNT - Phyllis Lugean "Lu" Unger, age 60, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020. Born in Nash County on May 27, 1959, Lu was the daughter of the late Jacob Madison Jacobs, Jr. and Phyllis Sondra Leggett. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Michael James Unger.
She is survived by several cousins many good friends.
Services will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1217 Bethlehem Road, Rocky Mount, with Pastor Laura Wittman officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pineview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 - 1:45 p.m. prior to the service in the Sanctuary of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
