Beatrice Pridgen Whitby, 90, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020. She was born January 7, 1930 in Nash County to the late Coy and Mollie Barnes Pridgen. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Whitby; sister Pency Cary, and brother Linwood Pridgen.

She is survived by her sister Marie Turner; two nieces; three nephews; several great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation with family and friends will be Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 6- 7 p.m. at Barnes Hill FWB Church. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 28, 2020, Barnes Hill FWB Church at11 a.m. with Rev. H.E. "Dick" Singleton officiating. Burial will follow at Barnes Family Cemetery.
