ANNIE TYSON MANNING

Annie Tyson Manning, 92, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021. She was born January 6, 1929 in Nash County. She was the daughter of the late J. Lee and Elba Tyson. Annie was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Clarence W. Manning; sister Mary Mathews; brothers Frank, Bill, and Sam Tyson.

She is survived by five children; Rebecca Manning of Youngsville, Carol Anne Whitford (Bryan) of Nashville, Paul Manning (Joy) of Spring Hope, Frances Southerland (Danny) of Nashville, Rose Smith (Mike) of Pink Hill and special "adopted" daughter Janice Pearce of Youngsville; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brothers Tim Tyson (Ann), Clarence Tyson, Terry Tyson (Linda); sisters-in-law Glen Tyson and Vada Tyson; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Monday, January 25, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Original Free Will Baptist Church. Visitation with family and friends will follow after service. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Original Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The service will be broadcast on 91.5 FM in the parking lot.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Mt. Zion Original Free Will Baptist Church, 1779 Mount Zion Church Road, Nashville, NC 27856. The family asks that you wear masks and practice social distance recommended by the CDC guidelines.
