James Earl Proctor, Sr., 80, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021. He was born March 10, 1941 in Edgecombe County to the late Sam and Lula Holder Proctor. In addition his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Bobby Proctor.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Dettie Proctor; son Jamie Proctor Jr. (Mindy); Pam Bailey (Robert Lee) and Theresa Gosselin (David); brother Richard Proctor (Marie); sisters Patsy Hart, Lillian Enroughty (Rooster), and Dare Ford; seven grandchildren ; two great-grandchildren

Visitation with family and friends will be Saturday, May 29, 2021 from 12:30-1:45 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home.
