Joel Odell Ballard, 69, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023. He was born October 23, 1953 in Rockingham to the late Dewey Harrison and Catherine Snead Ballard.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jewel Ballard; two daughters, Amber Tracey and Alexis Hoskins (John); brothers, Harrison (Patty), Dean (Susan), and John Ballard (Judy); six grandchildren; one nephew.

A memorial service will be held at Mount Zion FW Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2023.
