ROCKY MOUNT - Miley "Mike" Murray Braswell, age 98, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023. Born in Nash County on April 13, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William Oscar Murray and Mary Malissia Baines Murray. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Willard Clifton Braswell, Sr.; her sister, Rotha White; and her brothers, Leonard, Bruce, Phillip, and Kenny Murray.

Mike is survived by her son, Willard Clifton "Cliff" Braswell, Jr. of Chocowinity; her daughters, Amy Braswell Boyd and husband, Jerry, of Youngsville and Jane Braswell Green of N. Wilkesboro; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. at Pineview Cemetery with Pastor Matt Baker officiating. A special gathering will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
