ROCKY MOUNT - Jesse Weldon Rackley, Jr., age 68, passed away on October 2, 2024. Born in Nash County on February 1, 1956, he was the son of the late Jesse Weldon "J.W." Rackley, Sr. and Jo Ann Wood Rackley. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Allen "Jeff" Rackley; and his sister, JoLynn Rackley Tyson.

Jesse is survived by his sons, Jesse Weldon Rackley, III (Cynthia) and Stephen Lawrence Rackley (Aubrey); his stepson, Chad Umipeg (Jessica); five grandchildren; cousins and many other extended family members.

A special gathering was held October 4, 2024 at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Rocky Mount.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Forest Hill Cemetery.
