Nashville - Walter Marvin Winstead, Jr. (Marvin), 74, passed away December 18, 2024. He was born in Nash County December 18,1950 to Walter Marvin Winstead, Sr. and Jean Deans Winstead. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law Cathy Stroud Winstead.

He is survived by his brother Gregory Dean Winstead of Nashville.

Marvin was a private person; the family asks that you take a moment to pause and remember him and his contributions to education and land conservancy, and for passing on a love of nature to those he leaves behind.
