OTIS WILBERT O’CONNEY
NASHVILLE - Otis Wilbert O’Conney,61, passed away, Tuesday, September 14, 2010.  He was born on January 29, 1949, in Halifax County.  Otis was the son of the late Johnny and Martha Harrell O’Conney. 

Otis leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 39 years Dottie; his daughter Melissa Jane Mercer and husband Jimmy of Red Oak; his devoted and best friend “Little Man”; three brothers, Johnny O’Conney and wife Cathy of Enfield, William O’Conney and wife Kim of Nashville, and Charles O’Conney of Rocky Mount; three sisters, Tom Edmondson of Rocky Mount, Fannie Mae Edwards and husband John of Zebulon, and Edna Smith of Louisburg; and two grandchildren.

Visitation was Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 7:00-8:30 pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home.  Funeral Service was Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Pastor Pipper officiating.  The burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
