ROCKY MOUNT - Sidney Randolph Cockrell, 77, passed away, Wednesday, September 22, 2010. He was born April 27, 1933 in Nash County. He was the son of the late Sidney and Sallie Pridgen Cockrell.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lois Winstead Cockrell, three sons, Randy Cockrell and wife Nancy, Greg Cockrell and wife Robyn, Melvin Cockrell and wife Gwen, all of Rocky Mount, one daughter, Debbie Dawes and husband Gene of Rocky Mount, one brother, Jerry Cockrell and wife Iris of Quitman, MS., six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Friday, September 24, 2010 from 7:00-8:30 p.m at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Entombment Service were Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 11:00 am at Rocky Mount Mausoleum with the Rev. Paul Weaver officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home and Cremations, 1052 South First Street, Nashville, NC 27856.
