ROCKY MOUNT – Robert Allison “Bob” Maxwell, 72, died December 15, 2011. He was born on February 10, 1939, in Frederick, MD, to Howard N. and Leona G. Maxwell. He married Dorothy Ann Beckerman in 1964 in Seminole, FL; they were divorced in 1978. Robert married Patricia Kathleen Conyers, on June 21, 1980, in Rocky Mount.

Bob is survived by his wife of 31 years, Patricia Conyers Maxwell, of Rocky Mount; his sons Stuart (Louise) Maxwell, of Seattle, WA and Scott Maxwell of Pasadena, CA; and by many loving brothers, sisters, and parents-in-law, and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Lombard, and by his parents.There was a public gathering to share memories and stories among family and friends on December 20th at Cornerstone Funeral Home,  Nashville. A private burial will be held at a later date. Those who wish to do so may make memorial donations to either the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center at UNC (for bladder cancer research), or to the Salvation Army.
