Rachel B. Whitley passed away July 21, 2012. She was born on June 8th in Nash County to Jonah and Sallie Davis Boykin; Rachel was one of ten children. 

She is survived by two sisters, Ann Boykin Pridgen of Rocky Mount and Mildred Boykin Brantley of Wendell; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; daughter in law, Ann Cone Whitley of Rocky Mount.  Mrs. Whitley is preceded in death by her husband, Aaron O. Whitley, two sons, Michael Aaron Whitley and Ben Douglas (Doug) Whitley and one great granddaughter, Ashlyn Brooke Poole.

A funeral service was held at 7 p.m. Monday evening, July 23, 2012 at Englewood Assembly Of God with Pastor Gerry Blood officiating. A private entombment will be held at Oakdale Cemetery in Spring Hope.
