Eugene Bannon Edwards, 84, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017. He was born in Nash County on January 25, 1933 to the late Albert and Gaynelle Edwards. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Marshall Edwards and a sister Lois Edwards Winstead.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alice Faye Edwards; sons Greg Edwards( Cindy) and Tim Edwards (Beth); four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister-in-law Hilda Edwards; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held Monday, October 9, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home at 2:30 pm with Pastor Brandon Dees officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
