RED OAK - Donald "Don" Arthur Buck, age 85, passed away August 27, 2021. Born in Peru, IL on July 24, 1936, he was the youngest of seven children to the late Alexander Peter Buck and Laura Anna Quesse Buck.

Don is survived by his wife Mary Alice; his first wife, Rose; their four children, Jay (Barb) and Jeff (Mercy) of Houston, TX, JeanneMarie (Arden) of Berthoud, CO, and Jonathan (Jill) of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren; step-children, Mark and Kevin and their children.

He was preceded in death by his six siblings, Wilbur, Howard, John, Dorothy, Arnold, and Bonnie Jean.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Church of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 231 N. Church Street, Rocky Mount. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, August 30, 2021 from 7-8 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and other times at the home.
