Vardie Eston "Pete" Wilson, III, age 83 passed away June 11, 2023. He was born in Canton, NC on April 26, 1940. Pete was preceded in death by his father, Vardie Eston Wilson, Jr.

Pete is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sue Anderson Wilson; his sons, Mark Anderson Wilson, Joseph William Wilson (Donna), his daughter, Cindy Wilson Miller (Danny); five grandchildren; his mother, Virginia Crowell Wilson; his brother, Mark Crowell Wilson (Carmen); and sister-in-law, Barbara Ann Roberts.

A service will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Pete's memory to the Alzheimer's Association Eastern NC, 5171 Glenwood Ave., Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27612.
