Victoria "Vickie" Escobar, 89, was born in Brinkleyville on August 1, 1934 to Florine and Sam Lynch. She was the second child and second grandchild of Sallie and Drew Bell Richardson.

Victoria was preceded in death by her parents Sam Lynch and Florine Hedgepeth, her husbands, James C. Wardrick, and Hector A. Escobar, 4 siblings, Almarine, Claytise, Roberta, and Spencer, and one great-grand child, Lilian Hyepatia.

Victoria is survived by five children. James Ronald of Rocky Mount, Vernon Leon of District Height, MD, Janetta "Jean" of Bowie, MD, Rosslyn Vinay of Annapolis, MD, and Vickie Rochelle, Cambridge, Md.; three sisters, Magalean (Willie) of Rocky Mount, Elaina of Fort Washington, Md, Sandra (Nathan) of Sharpsburg; four brothers, Calvin (Jeannie) of York, PA, Quinton (Linda) of Nashville, Donnell (Jeri) of Hollister, and Michael (Bridget) of Raleigh; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation with family and friends will be Friday, March 29, 2024 from 10:30-11:15 a.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home with a funeral service to be held at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
