APRIL 3
Tar River Republican Women will host Jason Simmons, Chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party, as guest speaker on Thursday April 3rd at 6 p.m. at Nashville Exchange restaurant 229 W. APRIL 4
Nashville Parks and Recreation will host a Star Party Friday, April 4, 2025 from 7-9 p.m. at Stoney Creek Environmental Park, 455 W. Washington Street, Nashville. Explore the night sky and enjoy an evening of interactive space science activities, crafts, space story time, and a "star tour" led by local amateur astronomers using telescopes. This family event is free.

Nashville Parks and Recreation will host Family Camp Out on at 6 p.m., Friday, April 4, 2025 at Stoney Creek Environmental Park, 455 W. Washington Street, Nashville. Enjoy a family campout under the stars. The event cost is $25 per family and includes: Hotdog dinner, Smores, light breakfast. APRIL 7
The Nash County Arts Council will host a dragon eye hand sculpting class on Monday evening, April 7, from 6-8:30 p.m., led by artist Regina Pena. For all who enjoy everything dragons - join this unique class and make your own unique dragon eye art piece. Your instructor will guide you through creating your art piece while teaching hand building techniques. Cost is $40 General/$35 Nash Arts members. Supplies provided. Only a few seats remain! APRIL 10
The 2025 Wilson Active Artists Association's Juried Art Exhibition, a carefully judged winning artwork along with walls full of entries, will be open to the public with free admission on Thursday evening, April 10 from 5-7 p.m. at the Hammond Gallery in the Edna Boykin Cultural Center in downtown Wilson. See the collection and competition by talented artists from Wilson and surrounding areas and enjoy light refreshments as you browse. Artists will be on hand for this free community event. Nashville Farmers Market opening day is Friday, April 11, 2025 at 725 S. Barnes Street, Nashville. Enjoy fresh produce, artisan breads, local meats, handmade crafts, coffee, and craft beer. The Nash County Arts Council will host "From Princess to Queen: A Journey of Strength & Expression" dance workshop with Riddick Dance Company for ages 3 - 12 on Saturday, April 12th from 2-4 p.m. Cost is $10. This workshop is designed to help young girls embrace their confidence and self-expression through drumming, dance, and spoken word. Fostering self-awareness, leadership, and creativity, this workshop session will guide them on a journey.... from princess to queen! The Nash County Arts Council presents an evening of Gospel, Blues, & Spoken Word with Riddick Dance's "Queens: A Celebration of Women" on Saturday, April 12th at 7PM. Doors open at 6:40. Advance tickets are $20 General Admission or $15 for Nash Arts members. Cost of admissions will increase to $25 General or $20 Members at the door. The Nash County Arts Council will host its monthly acrylic class, led by local artist, Kim Valentine, on Wednesday, April 16th from 6-8:30 p.m. Registration is $40 General Admission or $35 for Nash Arts members. Supplies will be provided by the artist. This is a beginner level class for ages 16 through adult. This month's Spring theme is a handsome bunny in a top hat.... just in time for Easter! APRIL 18-19
Let Nash County 4-H Exchange Club egg your yard this Easter. Order your pre-filled eggs to be hidden in your yard on April 18th or April 19th. Eggs will be delivered between 9 am - 2 p.m. on Friday or between 9 am - 1 p.m. on Saturday and hidden in your yard. No yard too big or too small. APRIL 28
The Nash County Arts Council will begin a 4-week session of individual music classes, led by local instructor Joseph Barrett, Monday, April 28th. Choose from Acoustic, Bass, or Electric Guitar, Ukulele, or Music Theory! Registration is $140 for the 4-weeks. ($135 Members) This class is available for ages 6 - 106! Any skill level accepted! Classes meet weekly on April 28, May 5, May 12, & May 19. 30-minute time slots begin at 2 p.m. and end at 6 p.m. Other times may be available upon request. Deadline to register is April 17. MAY 2
Philadelphia Baptist Church will host its BBQ Chicken Plate Sale on May 2 from 11 a.m. - until. Eat in or take out, plates are $10 each. Plates include green beans, potatoes and dessert. The church is located at 6701 Taylor Store Rd., Nashville.

MAY 3
Goat Fest 2025 will be held May 3, 2025 at 624 Wollett Mill Rd., Nashville. The event includes the 3rd Annual Pork BBQ & Chili Contest , live music featuring Tony Jonez and great food. Contest is judged by Southern BBQ Network. Tickets are $18 in advance; $25 at the door. Early Bird entry fee for contestants is $90. The Kitchen Goat Feeds Corporation is a 501c3 charity easing the burden for Eastern NC cancer patients by providing grocery gift cards and ensuring food security during recovery.
