Rocky Mount - Peggy Langley Vester, age 78, passed away January 25, 2025. She was born in Edgecombe County on March 8, 1946 to Sidney Ross Langley, Jr. and Jetta Dorsey Langley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Vester; brothers, Garland Langley and Charles Langley; nieces, Melissa Wise and Pamela Roberson and nephews, Christopher Langley and Brent Langley.

She her children, Bryan Vester (Jessica) of Sharpsburg and Kimberly Vester Kennedy of Nashville; siblings, Bobby Langley of Rocky Mount and Joyce Proctor of Nashville; brother-in-law, Ralph Proctor; sister-in-law, Cheryl Langley; brother-in-law, Gene Vester; sister-in-law, Hazel Vester and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Gospel Missionary Baptist Church, 8444 Town Creek Rd, Rocky Mount. Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park, 4454 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11a.m. and other times at the home of Joyce and Ralph Proctor.
