JANUARY 30
The Nash County Arts Council presents Bill Lyerly & Clyde Mattocks on Thursday, January 30th, at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7. Advance tickets are $15 general admission or $10 Nash Arts members. Cost of admissions will increase to $20 general or $15 members at the door. For more information, visit nasharts.org or call (252) 459-4734. JANUARY 30
Beginner Sourdough Bread Making Class with Allison Jones from Cup Full Coffee & Bakery will be held Jan. 30 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This class is geared towards beginners, but seasoned bakers are welcome. You will receive your very own active sourdough starter with instructions and recipes to take home. In class, you will learn how to feed and maintain your active starter, what to do with the 'discard' starter, then mix and proof a loaf that you will take home to bake sometime the next day (after work is fine). Cost: $49-Resident; $69-Non-resident; $39-Youth (12 and under)
Please bring one small jar for your starter (peanut butter jar size is fine); 1 mixing bowl; 1 mixing spoon and an apron if you wish. Youth participants 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult participant.

FEBRUARY 1
4-H Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, Feb. 1 from 7 a.m. - 12 noon at the Nash County Agricutlure Center, 1006 Eastern Ave., Nashville. Inside space: $20 per space (6'x10') includes one table and 2 chairs; 2 spaces for $35. Outside space: $15 (size 2 parking lot spaces) bring your own table and chairs. FEBRUARY 4
Nashville Parks and Rec wil host a Little Explorer's - Toddler Nature Program on February 4 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Join us for free nature-themed play, activities, and crafts just for the little ones! This program is recommended for children ages 1-5 years. Children must attend with an adult.

FEBRUARY 7
Nashville Parks and Rec will hsot a Galentine's Craft Night on February 7 from 6 until p.m. Grab your favorite gals & learn to needle felt! Using wool and a specially barbed needle, you'll learn the tips and techniques needed to create your own felted Valentine's ornament. The cost is $20 for residents, $30 for non-residents.

FEBRUARY 15
The Nash County Arts Council presents The Classic Vinyl Band, comprised of JD Joyner, Randy Davis, David Mull, & Clay Steinwinter, on Saturday, February 15th at 7PM.(Doors open at 6:40) $15 advance tickets are available online through nash-county-arts-council.ticketleap.com, or by calling the office at (252) 459-4734. Cost of admissions will increase to $20 at the door. Nash Arts members receive a $5 discount on tickets & admissions.

FEBRUARY 19
The Nash County Arts Council will present its monthly acrylic painting class with artist Kim Valentine on Wednesday, February 19th from 6 to 8:30 p.m. This is a beginner level class, for ages 16 through adult. Cost is $35 General ($30 Nash Arts Members) Supplies provided. This month's theme is Valentine snowmen. Paint an individual picture, or register a partner, too, and create two pieces to form one! Nashville Parks and Rec will hsot a Family Playgroup on February 19 from 9 until 10 a.m. Everyone is welcome to come out for a free family playgroup! Join us for unstructured playtime with toys and sensory stations for children 5 years and under.

FEBRUARY 20
The Nash County Arts Council will host a parent and child hat burning class, led by artist Regina Pena, on Thursday, February 20th, from 6-8:30PM. Registration is $65 General Admission or $60 Nash Arts members. This month, participants will practice the art of woodburning on their very own vegan suede western style hat. Supplies will be provided by the artist (including the hats). Registration Deadline: February 6th. Limited to one child per parent. Children under 10 years of age not eligible to participate. Parent and child will share one hat and one burner tool. Parent is solely responsible for the supervision of their child. (Individual adults are also welcome to register for this class.) Late registration will increase by $5.

FEBRUARY 21
Nashville Parks and Rec will host a Free Movie Friday/Super-Hero Night on February 21 at 6 p.m. at 723 S. Barnes Street, Nashville. Come out dressed as your favorite super-hero and watch a showing of "Spiderman: Across the Spider-verse." Special appearances by Spiderman and friends. Free popcorn while supplies last.

FEBRUARY 22
The Nash County Arts Council presents its Denim & Diamonds Gala on Saturday, February 22nd from 6-9 p.m., with entertainment provided by Heavy Weather: A Tribute to Yacht Rock. Tickets are $40 per individual or $75 per couple ($35 / $65 for Nash Arts members), and are available through nash-county-arts-council.ticketleap.com, or by calling the office at (252) 459-4734. Deadline to purchase is February 10th. Cost includes entertainment and meal, with catering provided by Essential Edibles. The evening will also include a silent auction. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the door.

Nashville Parks and Rec will host an Eastern Bluebird Workshop on February 22 from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m.. Learn all about Bluebirds & assemble your own Bluebird nesting box. All tools & materials provided. Children must attend with an adult. Workshop will include: Eastern Bluebird natural history: habitat, diet, nesting & more. Assembling a bluebird nesting box, nesting boy placement and maintenance strategies and make suet for bluebirds. *A portion of the proceeds from this program will go to the Eastern Bluebird Rescue Group of Warrenton, NC.

FEBRUARY 25
The Nash County Arts Council will be hosting an artist reception with local artist, Mike Clark, between 4:30 & 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25th. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Mike's work is currently on display through February 28th. Gallery visits, outside of the reception, are available by appointment only. FEBRUARY 27
The Nash County Arts Council will host a Woodburning on Charcuterie Board Class on Thursday, February 27th, from 6-8:30 p.m. Create your own personalized charcuterie board! Registration is $40 General or $35 Nash Arts members. All supplies provided (including board and metal handles) Deadline to register is February 13th. FEBRUARY 28
Join The Toler Family (TolerMusic) as they sing through the decades at the Nash County Arts Council on Friday, February 28th at 7 p.m.. Advance tickets are $10 General ($5 Nash Arts members) and are available online through nash-county-arts-council.ticketleap.com or by calling the office at (252) 459-4734. Cost of admissions will increase to $15 General ($10 Members) day of show.

- ANNOUNCEMENTS -
Northern Nash Class of 1975 will host its 50th reunion April 18-19, 2025. Cost for the two-day event is $100 per person/$175 per couple. Deadline to pay is Feb. 28, 2025. We're looking for gently used LEGOs to inspire creativity, teamwork, and endless for for kids in our community. Drop-off Location: 200 S. Boddie Street, Nashville NC. Let's turn those forgotten bricks into something amazing-one colorful creation at a time!
