EVELYN VIVERETTE COWAN

Evelyn Viverette Cowan, 84, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025. She was born November 9, 1940 in Nash County to the late Roy Viverette and Bessie Brantley Viverette. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gurvis Floyd Cowan; brothers, Frog and Dale Viverette; sister, Von Dickerson; son-in-law, Fred Oney.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Cowan and wife Phyllis; daughters, Wanda Oney and significant other Billy, Donna Bullard, Kim Turner and husband Eddie; sisters, Betty Strickland, Christine Poland, and Jan Harrington; ten grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, February 16, 2025 from 1:30-2:45 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home with a funeral service to be held at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Spring Hope Memorial Gardens.
