Gerald “Jerry” Crimi, 63, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2011. He was born July 31, 1947 in Akron, Ohio. He was the son of the late Nick Anthony and Anne DonVito Crimi. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Rodney Harper, Sr.
He was a devoted family man. He was generous, honest, and devoted to his work. He proudly served in the Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Harper Crimi of Nashville; daughter, Mary Candace Finch of Nashville; son, Nick Anthony Crimi, II of Winterville; grandchild, James Aaron Finch “Papa’s little buddy” of Nashville; sister, Carol Jean Crimi of Kent, OH; brother, Richard Crimi of Beaverton, Oregon; mother-in-law, Susan Harper of Nashville; sister-in-law, Laura Katherine Ricci and husband Dave of West Haven, Conn., brother-in-law, Rodney Harper, Jr. and wife Marianne of New Bern; brother-in-law, David Harper and wife Pam of Swansboro.
Memorial services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Marty Cauley officiating. Visitation will follow the services in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Eddie Fund c/o Eagle Transport, 300 S. Wesleyan Blvd., Rocky Mount, NC 27804 or to St. Paul United Methodist Mission Fund, 1217 Bethlehem Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
