Urdis “Ernie” Mills, 83, passed away March 29, 2013. He was born in Halifax County, May 22, 1929 to the late James and Rhoda Richardson Mills. In addition to his parents, Urdis was preceded in death by his brothers, Tyre, Clifford and Cornell Mills; sisters, Tempe Liles, Estella Harris and Lorena Defrons.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Moore Mills; stepson, Richard Glenn Hudson and sisters, Maxzella Mills Richardson and Eva Andino of Philadelphia.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Chief Ronald Richardson officiating.
