Helen Daniels Whitehurst, age 74, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013. Born in Iredell County on September 21, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Emerson Daniels and Mary Allison Aulton Daniels. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Zachary Whitehurst.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Gordon Whitehurst; two sons, Robert Whitehurst and wife Julie and Scott Whitehurst, both of Rocky Mount; 2 grandchildren; brother, Bill Stewart of Boone.
A service to remember Helen was held Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Walt Cooper officiating.
