CARVIE EVERETTE STRICKLAND

Carvie Everette Strickland passed away on January 1, 2014. He was born on September 22, 1922 in Middlesex to the late Garland Ellis Strickland and Etta Strickland. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alene Lamm Strickland; brothers, Arthur, Jim, Thurman, Joe, and Henry Strickland, and sister, Delta Williams.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Bonnie Strickland, daughter, Pamela Lowe and husband, Darryl of Knoxville, TN; son, Richard Strickland and wife, Pamela of Rocky Mount; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; stepdaughters, Frances Tarleton, Jane Brown (Gerry), and Cathy Savage; seven step-grandchildren.
Services were held January 4, 2014 at Englewood Baptist Church with Pastor Greg O’Neil officiating.  Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Englewood Baptist Church. Graveside services will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
