NASHVILLE - Charles Abernathy Pridgen, 91, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014.
He was born in Pamlico County, February 11, 1923 to the late Charles and Gertie Lupton Pridgen.   In addition to his parents, he  was preceded in death by his wife Mazell B. Pridgen and son, Gary Pridgen.
 He is survived by his son, Joel Pridgen, sister, Ruth Walker of Florida and one grandchild.
The family received friends  February 21, 2014 at Cornerstone Funeral Home and Cremations.  Burial was private at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
