MADELEINE TAYLOR FRAZIER

Mrs. Madeleine Taylor Frazier age 87 of Nashville, passed away peacefully, Tuesday August 11, 2015. She was born June 16, 1928 and was the beloved wife of the late William Horace Frazier. Besides her two daughters Connie Frazier Turlington and Janice Frazier Essa, she was survived by her two grandchildren Stephanie Ann Essa and Edward Joseph Essa, Jr. She also will be missed by her nieces Judy McClintock Overton, Debbie Frazier Davenport and nephew Rudy Blake Frazier and their families. "Grandma" as she was known will also be greatly missed by her son-in-law Eddie Essa as well as her son-in-law John Turlington. Madeleine had three very close friends, Bonnie Collins, Penny House and Kathryn Tyson that were very special to her that continued to visit and help care for her until the very end. She also had a very loving and faithful dog, Biscuit. Mrs. Frazier grew up as a farmer and a country store owner in the Taylor Store community working along her husband's side. She was a life long resident of Nash County and truly loved calling Nash County home. She was well known for her Craft and Basket store after the passing of her husband along with her Thrift Shop all located near her home. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be terribly missed by all her family and friends. After a long battle with Alzheimers, she will be remembered for her love of people and animals, her kindness, her quick wit and her creative talents. The family expresses their deep appreciation to the staff and caregivers at By-Faith Home Healthcare.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Cornerstone Funeral Home located at 1052 South 1st Street in Nashville, NC. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 10:00 am located at Philadelphia Baptist Church in Nashville, with burial service to follow at Philadelphia Baptist Church in Nashville, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Alzheimers Research at www.alz.org/donate.
