Evelyn Pope Mitchell, 50, of Spring Hope, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Union Hill Baptist Church in Nashville. Burial followed in Oakland Cemetery.

Survivors include three daughters, Demeka Mitchell, of Bethel, DeAnna Mitchell, of Rocky Mount and Elexis Mitchell of the home; one son, Eric Mitchell, of Rocky Mount; Paternal grandmother, Ernestice Richardson, of Rocky Mount; Father, Duncan Mitchell, of Castalia; two sisters, Darlicia Pope, of the home and Audrey Walton, of Rocky Mount; and two brothers, Willie Pope and Michael Pope, both of Rocky Mount.
