JAMES NEBSON WALKER, SR.
James Nebson Walker, Sr., 74, passed away Friday, February 1, 2008. He was born November 20, 1933 in Nash County. He was the son of the late John and Annie Walker. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Daegon. Jim served in the Air Force and retired as an Air Traffic Controller. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with the family that he loved.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of fifty-five years, Nancy Vick Walker; brothers, Bruce and wife Shirley of Rocky Mount, Richard and wife Lynne of Nashville, Glenn and wife Janice of Louisville, Tenn.; one daughter, Anise and husband Mike of Nashville; two sons, Keith and wife Sharon of Atlanta, GA, Jimmie and wife Julie of Sharpsburg; grandchildren, Christina, Michael and wife Brooke, Tara and husband Jason, Monica and husband Shawn, Bonnie, Georgia, and Keith; great grandchild, Lucas; and several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends from 1 to 2 pm Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Corinth Baptist Church with a funeral service following at 2 pm with Dr. Richard Walker and Rev. Mike Coggin officiating. Burial immediately followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Corinth Baptist Church Building Fund, 2883 North NC 58 Hwy, Nashville, NC 27856.
