Gary “Baldy” Anthony Joyner, 45, passed away Friday, May 2, 2008. He was born on September 2, 1962 in Edgecombe County. He was the son of the Shirley Joyner and the late Robert Joyner. He is preceded in death by his sister, Norma J. Land.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife, Betty Farrar of the home; his mother, Shirley Joyner; two daughters, April Morgan and husband Mike of Battleboro, Ashley Joyner of Nashville; one brother, Steve Joyner and wife Sheila of Rocky Mount; two sisters, Pam Baker of Rocky Mount, Gail Robbins and Norwood McPhail of Elm City; one grandson and several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Johnson Funerals and Cremations-English Road. A funeral service was held Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 2 p.m. Johnson Funerals and Cremations-English Road with Rev. Tony Futrell officiating. Interment followed at Joyner’s Cemetery.
