Alton Leon High

Alton Leon High, 84, passed away July 15, 2019. He was born in Chatham County on August 15, 1934 to the late John Fredrick High and Myrtle Carver High. In addition to his parents, he is preceeded in death by his daughter Nancy High Nichols and brothers Marvin and Woodrow High.

He is survived by his wife, of 61 years, Carolyn Wood High; his son John High and wife Dodie; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; his brother Carver High and sister Mildred Gallagher.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of Wave Church at 5334 Lamm Road, Wilson. Leon was a casual dresser and the attire will be the same for his memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wave Church at www.wavechurchnc.com.
