Dorothy (Dottie) Daughtridge Macklin

RED OAK - Dorothy (Dottie) Daughtridge Macklin, 72, passed away August 14, 2020. She was born August 15, 1947, in Rocky Mount. She was preceded in death by her parents J.M. (Bud) and Dorothy Daughtridge.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne; her daughters Angela Clendenin (Gary) and Christie Lamm; her step children Anna Nelms (Brian) and Joey Macklin; four grandchildren; four step grandchildren; her sister Susan Skinner (Berkley) and brother Mel Daughtridge (Linda); nephews and nieces.

A funeral service will be held Monday, August 17, 2020 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Chris Fowler officiating at Red Oak Baptist Church Family Life Center. Burial will follow at Red Oak Baptist Cemetery. Out of an abundance of caution, there will be no visitation and the family requests that you wear masks, if possible, and refrain from shaking hands and hugging. Seating arrangements will accommodate physical distancing.
