CONSTANCE (CONNIE) PORTER BARUS

Constance (Connie) Porter Barus (95) passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020.

Born in Dublin, Georgia on July 12, 1925, She was the daughter of the late W.T. and Annie Porter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herman B. Barus, and son-in-law, Burk B. Bradley.

She is survived by her sister, Anita Quinnette Johnson of St. Petersburg, Florida; two children, Lee Anne Barus Bradley of Whitakers, and Thomas B. Barus (Ruth) of Rocky Mount; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Rocky Mount. A visitation will be held outside of the church beginning at 1 p.m. A burial will follow the service at Pineview Cemetery.

In keeping with efforts to protect friends and family during the COVID-19 pandemic, face coverings are respectfully required for all guests.

In lieu of flowers, please take time to spend with your family and loved ones as time with family was most important to Connie.
