ROCKY MOUNT - Connie Ray Baines Boseman, age 85, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020. Born in Nash County on June 5, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Charlie David Baines and Millie Ganey Baines. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Joseph Boseman, Jr.; four brothers, Wiley, Joseph, Gray, and Jimmie Baines; and one granddaughter, Cathy Lynn Stevey.
Connie is survived by her son, Wadis D. Boseman and wife, Helen, of Sims; her daughter, Dinah Lou Stevey of the home; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Emily Baines of York, SC and Jeanne Baines of Rocky Mount.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Dale Hathaway officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home. |
