MARY ANNA OVERBY TURNER

Mary Anna Overby Turner, age 94, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021. She was born on December 4, 1926 in Nash County to Malvin and Iva Vick Overby.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Raymond Vick, James F. Proctor, and Thomas Earl Turner; granddaughter, Allison Dickens; brother, Robert Overby; and sisters, Arlene Morris, Katherine Shearin, and Annie Pearl Cook.

She is survived by her daughters, Carla Glover (Dan) of Dortches, Tammy Spivey (Ronnie) of Red Oak; sons, Ray Laverne Vick (Connie) of Kansas and Malvin Keith Vick (Freda) of Florida; twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and friends.

A service will be held at Dortches Baptist Church on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. The burial will be at Rocky Mount Memorial Park immediately following the service.

While floral arrangements are appreciated, memorial donations may be sent to Dortches Baptist Church, 4776 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
