ROCKY MOUNT - Milton Laverne Griffin, age 97, passed away February 23, 2021. Born in Nash County on November 16, 1923, he was the son of the late Sidney David Griffin and Eva Proctor Griffin. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Frances Dorsett Griffin.
He is survived by his daughters, Sheila Varnell (Boyce) and Karen Bottoms (Thomas); his son, Sid Griffin (Lisa); eight grandchildren,; his sisters, Carolyn Grigg and Edna Thompson (Joe).
A private graveside service will be held at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
