SPRING HOPE - Gilbert Ray Morgan, 85, passed away March 31, 2021. He was born November 14, 1935 in Nash County to the late Clinton and Blanche Morgan. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Patsy Morgan.
Gilbert is survived by his daughter Cindy Morgan-Pace and husband Jeff; son Jeff Morgan and wife Marie; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; siblings Louise Rogers of Wilmington, Eric Morgan and wife Linda of Louisburg, Gayle Shearer and husband Ed of Houston, Texas.
A visitation will be held at 12:30pm-1:45pm on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, Gilbert requested donations be made to his favorite gospel group, "The Four in Christ", c/o Beck Bennett 271 Mill Creek Lane New Bern, NC 28560. |
