Nellie Peele, 88, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Born in Rocky Mount on October 14, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Barthell C. Smith and Effie Harrell Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband William R. Peele, sisters, Louise Pittman, Myrtle Strickland, Mamie Rose and brothers, Roscoe Smith, John E. Smith, and Barthell C. Smith, Jr.
She is survived by her sister, Shirley Smith Coats and many nieces and nephews.
