SHIRLEY BASS BRANTLEY

ROCKY MOUNT - Shirley Bass Brantley, age 72, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022. Born in Wilson County on March 8, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Wright Bass and Essie Rola Bass. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Floyd Bass, Mamie Gray Parker, Nell Beebe, Betty Lewis, Richard Bass and Charles "Skeeter" Bass; and her special friend, Wayne Baker.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Brenda Crumpler Flora and husband, Pat, of Rocky Mount and Kim Brantley Collie and husband, Chris, of Nashville; two grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Winstead; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral was held on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Burial followed the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Shirley's memory to Nash Autism Seeking Hope, 5441 West Mount Drive, Nashville, NC 27856, in honor of her granddaughter, Mackenzie.
