Rachel Matthews Joyner, 91, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023. She was born June 15, 1931 in Nash County to the late Charles and Minda Rich Matthews. In addition to her parents Rachel was preceded in death by husband Alfred Joyner and daughter Anne Melvin.

She is survived by her son Al Joyner; one grandchild; one great-grandchild

Visitation with family and friends was Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with a funeral service to be held at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
