Robert "R.T." Overby, 84, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023. He was born June 3, 1938 in Halifax County to the late Jeanette Harris Hux and step-dad, George A. Hux.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn Overby; daughter, Robin Overby Ward (Jeff); two grandchildren,.

Visitation with family and friends will be Friday, June 2, 2023 from 1:00 -1:45p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Rev. Clay Leonard officiating. Entombment will be at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will accept visitors other times at the home.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Faith Christian School Athletic Department.
