ROCKY MOUNT - Nancy Carrol Brown Pridgen, age 92, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023. Born in Edgecombe County on May 19, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Charles Dallas Brown and Lula Harrelson Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Al Joseph Pridgen Sr.; her sisters, Margaret Brown Blocker and Barbara Brown Norris.

Nancy is survived by her two sons, Al Joseph Pridgen Jr. and wife Patsy of Rocky Mount, and Charles Raymond Pridgen and wife Sandra of Rocky Mount; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Pineview Cemetery with Rev. Carlton Cockrell officiating. The family will be available to receive friends and relatives immediately following the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Nancy's memory to Arlington Baptist Church, 1500 Bethlehem Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
