NASHVILLE - Aileen Rose Davis, age 95, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023. She was born in Nash County on November 26, 1927. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, Joseph R. "Bill" Davis, Sr; mother, Lucy Williams; and siblings, W.T. Rose, Junior Rose, Alvin Rose, Clifton Rose, Alma Clarida, Doris Griffin, Christine Pierce and Helen Jones.
She is survived by her children, Joseph R. "Billy" Davis, Jr. (Marcia), Phyllis D. Petty (Butch) and Paul Earl Davis; and siblings, A.J. Rose, Eugene Rose, Ronald Rose, Ann Varnell and Joyce Ellis; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
A service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Red oak Baptist Church, 4861 Church Street, Battleboro. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park, 4544 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:45 p.m. in the sanctuary and other times at the home.
