ELTON CECIL MOSS, JR.

Elm City - Alton Cecil Moss, Jr., fondly known as "Butch" to family and friends, passed away October 30, 2023 at age 61. He was born in Nash County on December 19, 1961. He was preceded in death by his father, Alton Cecil Moss; mother, Jeanette Hayes Mosley; and sister, Lou Lynne Griffin.

Butch is survived by his sister, Kimberly Jernigan (Chris); nephews and nieces and several great-nieces and nephews.

A service was held November 6, 2023 at RiverBend Church, Rocky Mount.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rocky Mount Animal Shelter, 2455 Hurt Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
