WILLIAM "BILLY" SALTER

BATTLEBORO - William "Billy" Salter, age 75, passed away November 22, 2023. Born September 5, 1948 in Edgecombe County, Billy was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Franklin Salter; mother and step-father, Lillian Salter Price and Frank Price, Jr. and more recently, his beloved wife, Lucy Green Salter.

He is survived by his son, Jeremy Salter of Wisconsin; step-sons, Bruce Harding (Kristen) of Zebulon, Dwayne Harding (Missy) of Franklinton, Russell Harding (Renee) of Rocky Mount, Eric Harding (Laurel) of Greenville and Daniel Reaves of Rocky Mount; brothers, Thomas "Tee" Salter, Jr. (Anita) of Hofheim, Germany and Jimmy Price (Kay) of Tarboro and sisters, Evelyn Futrell, Nancy Andrews (Doug) and Sue Nichols (Mike), all of Tarboro; 9 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 12 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, 201 Pine Street, Williamston. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
