Evelyn Jean Proctor, 86, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023. She was born May 4, 1937 in Nash County to the late Robert and Sally Lancaster Armstrong. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Proctor; sons, Glenn, Joseph, and Bobby Briggs.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Jones; sisters, Alice Bullock, Peggy O' Briant, and Frances Blount; five grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
