JACK NOBLE MATTHEWS

RALEIGH - Jack Noble Matthews, 87, passed away February 27, 2024. A native of Nash County, he was the son of the late William Edd Matthews and Miley Matthews. In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his sister, Jane Bass; and brother, David Earl Matthews.

Jack is survived by his wife, Serena Matthews; son, Jack "Matt" Noble Matthews, Jr., and wife Krisan Eason Matthews; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Stella Mae Staley, and brother, James William Matthews.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2024, at St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Raleigh. The family will receive friends for a period of visitation an hour prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. at the church. A committal service will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, 2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jack's memory to St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 1201 Maxwell Dr, Raleigh, NC 27603.
