LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Matthew James Hardy, age 65, who died on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, were held April 7, 2024 at Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg.

He is survived by: his wife, Marcia Yvette Wright Hardy of the home; daughters, Bessie Gallop (Robert) of Hertford and Amber Wright of Louisburg; one son, Sylvester Hardy of Louisburg; three sisters, Edith Cameron, Gail Wiggins (Leroy) and Rebecca Foster (Cecil) all of Louisburg; two brothers, Richard Hardy and James Earl Hardy (Charlene) both of Louisburg; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
