DANIEL "MUG" WAYNE PIERCE

Daniel "Mug" Wayne Pierce, 68, passed away April 16, 2024. Born in Nash County on April 20, 1955. Son of the late James and Irene Pierce. He is also preceded in death by his brothers James Arthur and Paul Glenn Pierce; sister Ann Bradshaw, including extended family of half brothers and sisters.

Daniel is survived by Betty Pierce, his wife of 24 years; daughter Malinda Stancil and husband Glen of Nashville; son Dustin Ellis and wife Sally of Rocky Mount; one grandchild; brother Joe Pierce and wife Deborah of Battleboro; sister Bea Moore and husband Pop of Whitakers; numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Cornerstone Funeral Home and other times at the home 4861 Dogwood Dr Battleboro.. The service will be held at 2 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
