James Leaston Parker, 80, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024. He was born March 16, 1944 in Nash County to the late William Frank and Elsie Pridgen Parker. He was also preceded by brothers, Marvin, David, and Herman; Sisters, Hazel, Etta, and Jean; daughter-in-law, Angie.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Parker; daughter, Elaine Mehle; son, Jamie Lea; brothers, Floyd and Homer; sister, Anita; three grandchildren.
Visitation with family and friends will be Friday, July 19, 2024 from 12:00-12:45 p.m. with a funeral service to be held at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. |
