George Ambler Winstead, 75, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2024. He was born October 21, 1948 in Nash County to the late Ambler O'Dell Winstead and Celia Ann Sullivan. George was also preceded in death by his sister, Ernestine "Tina" Gay.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Brenda Ann Winstead; three sons, George Kelly Winstead, Cecil Lee Winstead, and Anthony "Tony" Quinn Winstead; sister, Marie Winstead Woodall; 5 grandchildrenl two great-grandchildren.
